Rosedale grew out of a nursery
Rosedale comes by its greenery honestly — it literally grew out of a plant nursery. After starting as farm and dairy land in the 1860s, the parcel was bought in 1900 by Frank Taylor Ramsey, whose Austin Nursery became at one point the largest in Texas: over a million plants and trees rooted right here. Even the name is botanical — when the land was platted in 1929 it was christened “Rosedale” after the thousands of Rosedale Arborvitae hedges growing on it. A lot of that century-old stock still shades the streets.
Ramsey Park sits where his “Peterson Field” used to be: pool, tennis courts, a ball diamond, and the picnic lawns the whole neighborhood turns up to.
Three minutes, or a walk if you’d rather
Eye Charm is at 4000 Avenue B — 1.3 miles from Ramsey Park, about three minutes by car. Of every area we serve, only Hancock is closer.
Rosedale is also Austin’s quiet medical hub, wrapped around Ascension Seton Medical Center on West 38th, and a good share of our Rosedale clients come straight off a shift there. 38th Street runs you east to Duval, where the 7 heads north through Hyde Park if you’d rather not drive. Every set opens with a consultation and a shape mapped to your eyes, then handmade fans — never pre-made. Classic is the clean, natural version; hybrid adds dimension; volume is the full, soft one. If frequent visits are the problem rather than the price, a keratin lash lift curls your own lashes for six to eight weeks with nothing to fill. Both artist tiers are published on the price list.

How close is the studio to Rosedale?
1.3 miles from Ramsey Park — three minutes by car, and short enough to walk if the weather is behaving. Only Hancock is closer.
Does an appointment fit around a shift at Seton?
This is one of our most common bookings. Ascension Seton is a couple of minutes away, we open at 10 and close at 6 every day, and appointments run one client at a time — so a post-shift slot doesn't turn into an evening.
Can I walk over from Rosedale?
From the 38th Street end, yes — it's about a half-hour on foot, and the route across to Duval is on quiet streets rather than an arterial. Most people drive it in three minutes, but the option is real.
What lasts longest if I don't want frequent visits?
A keratin lash lift, which curls your own lashes for six to eight weeks with no fills at all. Extensions need topping up every two to four weeks to stay full — worth knowing before you pick.
