Rosedale grew out of a nursery

Rosedale is one of Austin’s prettiest old neighborhoods, and it comes by the greenery honestly — it literally grew out of a plant nursery. After starting as farm and dairy land in the 1860s, the parcel was bought in 1900 by Frank Taylor Ramsey, whose Austin Nursery became, at one point, the largest in the entire state of Texas — over a million plants and trees rooted right here. Even the name is botanical: when the land was platted in 1929, it was christened “Rosedale” after the thousands of Rosedale Arborvitae hedges growing on it. A lot of that century-old nursery stock is still shading the streets today.

Ramsey Park and the 38th Street stretch

The heart of it all is Ramsey Park, sitting right where Ramsey’s old “Peterson Field” used to be — now a pool, tennis courts, a ball diamond, and picnic lawns where the whole neighborhood turns up. Rosedale is also Austin’s quiet medical hub, wrapped around Seton Medical Center, with the 38th Street corridor of cafés and shops giving it a walkable, neighborly buzz. It’s the kind of place where 1930s and ’40s cottages sit under big old trees and everybody seems to know the dog walkers by name.

Lashes, basically around the corner

Good news for Rosedale: you’re about as close to us as it gets. At Eye Charm Artistry, every set begins with a consultation and a shape mapped to your eyes, then handmade fans — never pre-made. Classic lashes ($150) give a clean, natural lift; hybrid ($185) adds dimension; volume ($220) delivers full, soft fluff. Short on time between appointments at Seton or errands on 38th? A keratin lash lift ($115) curls your natural lashes for six to eight weeks, and brow lamination ($125) keeps your brows polished with no daily effort.

Getting here from Rosedale

This one’s barely a trip. From 38th Street or anywhere along Hancock Drive, it’s just a few minutes east and north up toward Hyde Park — you’ll find us at 4000 Avenue B before your coffee’s cold. Free street parking is right out front, and we’re open seven days a week, 10am–6pm, so pop over whenever it suits you.

“I'm so impressed by Anastasiia's lash work. My eyelashes stayed on for 5 weeks and they could have stayed even longer. I'm a swimmer and in water often and nothing happened to them. I'm blown away! Highly recommend.”

Anywhere from $150 to $220: classic sets are $150, hybrids $185, and full volume $220, all mapped to your eyes in a consultation first.
