Hancock: where Austin learned to golf
Hancock sits right on Hyde Park’s doorstep and carries one of the better history stories in the city. The neighborhood is named for Lewis Hancock — an Austin mayor in the 1890s, a Harvard Law graduate, and the man behind the Hancock Opera House — who in 1899 founded a golf course right here. That course, Hancock Golf Course, is still going at over 125 years old, often called the oldest continuously operating golf course west of the Mississippi. It was the original home of the Austin Country Club, and a young caddy named Harvey Penick got his start on these greens before becoming one of the most famous golf teachers who ever lived; he stayed with the club for more than 70 years.
Old greens, everyday conveniences
What makes Hancock livable is that mix of history and handiness: the historic nine holes and creekside calm on one side, Hancock Center — the shopping anchor at 41st and I-35 — on the other. The UT campus, Hyde Park’s cafés and the Triangle are each a few minutes out.
The shortest trip on our list
Eye Charm is at 4000 Avenue B — 0.8 miles from the golf course, which is two minutes by car and about fifteen on foot. Of every area we serve, Hancock is the closest, and it’s the one trip where driving barely saves anything. The 7 runs Duval past the top of the neighborhood if the weather turns.
Which makes the maintenance cycle easy rather than annoying: fills every two to four weeks keep a set full, and from here that’s a walk. Book on the booking page.
Lashes, right next door
Every set opens with a consultation and a shape mapped to your eyes, then handmade fans, never pre-made. Classic is natural, hybrid splits the difference, volume is full and fluffy. Want the lowest-maintenance route? A keratin lash lift curls your own lashes for six to eight weeks with no fills at all. Every price, both artist tiers, on the price list.

Loved by clients across Austin
“The best lash studio in Austin!! I can go four weeks before I need a fill. Sam and Anastasiia are both amazing! Highly recommend!!”
“I'm so impressed by Anastasiia's lash work. My eyelashes stayed on for 5 weeks and they could have stayed even longer. I'm a swimmer and in water often and nothing happened to them. I'm blown away! Highly recommend.”

Hancock lash questions, answered
How far is Eye Charm from Hancock?
0.8 miles — two minutes by car from the golf course, and about a fifteen-minute walk. Of every area we serve, this is the closest.
Can I walk to the studio from Hancock?
Plenty of neighbors do. From the golf course side it's a straight walk north into Hyde Park to 4000 Avenue B, and on a bike you're here in a couple of minutes. It's the one trip where driving barely saves time.
What's near the studio if I have time before my appointment?
You're between Hancock Center at 41st and the Hyde Park cafés on Duval and 43rd, with the Triangle a few minutes west. Most Hancock clients build a coffee into the trip because the drive itself takes two minutes.
How often will I need to come back?
Fills every two to four weeks keep a set looking full; a keratin lash lift needs nothing at all for six to eight weeks. Being this close makes the shorter cycle a genuinely easy habit rather than a chore.
