A little Crestview history (it started as a dairy farm)

If you call Crestview home, you’re living on what used to be open pasture. Developer A.B. Beddow built the neighborhood out on an old dairy farm in the years right after World War II, and the streets filled up fast — a lot of the first families were returning GIs using the GI Bill to buy those tidy little ranch houses, many of them of Swedish and German stock who’d grown up on farms just outside town. As for the name? The story locals love is that Beddow and his wife borrowed it from Crestview, Florida, a spot they loved to visit.

The stuff that makes Crestview Crestview

This is one of those pockets of Austin where the old guard and the new keep good company. Top Notch Burgers has been flame-grilling out on Burnet since 1971 and even had its cameo in Dazed and Confused — proof that Crestview was cool before “keep it weird” was a bumper sticker. There’s the Wall of Welcome, the 120-foot mosaic mural that greets you like the neighborhood’s own front porch, and the Crestview MetroRail station that turned the corner at Lamar and Airport into a walkable little hub. Saturday mornings? You’ve got the Burnet Road farmers market and a strip of taquerias, coffee, and vintage shops that locals would frankly prefer you didn’t tell everyone about.

Lashes that fit a Burnet Road kind of life

Crestview runs on an easy, unpretentious rhythm, and our lash work suits it perfectly. At Eye Charm Artistry every set starts with a real consultation and a shape mapped to your eyes — then handmade fans, never pre-made. Want something barely-there for the school run and the farmers market? Classic lashes ($150) read like really good mascara. Ready for a little more? Hybrid ($185) adds woven-in texture, and a full volume set ($220) gives you that soft, fluffy fullness. Prefer to skip extensions entirely? A keratin lash lift ($115) curls your own lashes for six to eight weeks, and brow lamination ($125) brushes your brows up full and feathery.

“I'm so impressed by Anastasiia's lash work. My eyelashes stayed on for 5 weeks and they could have stayed even longer. I'm a swimmer and in water often and nothing happened to them. I'm blown away! Highly recommend.”
